Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

As children of God, I pray for the child-like innocence and grace that we DID have as children, and to be able to leave all of our anxieties that we are faced with in the crazy and upside down world, in God’s loving hands. And as adults, to thank Him, and Glorify Him, each and every day, and to bravely stare down evil and never waver when it feels, at times, that evil is winning and that all is lost.

Our family has been struggling with so much negativity this past year. From dealing with the law, unexpected family deaths, out of control teenagers, drugs, alcohol, injuries, relationship issues. You can probably name and it has hit pretty hard. I was blessed to be raised a Christian and I have always been close to Jesus. But I actually almost let Satan win this week. Something I never thought could happen to me. Luckily I do know Jesus and I know where to find him as he knows where I am. This verse spoke volumes to me this morning. I know without a doubt I was supposed to see this. Thank you for this and Thank you Lord for loving me. I will tighten up my armor and stand firmer then ever for you Lord Jesus! I will continue to praise in this storm. Amen
